Accessibility Statement
Last updated August 25, 2026PERQS Member, LLC wants everyone to be able to find deals, compare offers, and learn about their money on this site — including people who browse with a screen reader, a keyboard, voice control, or a magnifier. This statement explains where we stand, what we have done, and what we are still working on.
This statement applies to PERQS.com and affiliated websites operated by PERQS Member LLC. It was prepared on August 25, 2026 following an internal audit of the site against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA.
Accessibility work is never finished. If you hit a barrier on this site, please tell us — the contact details are in section 7, and we treat those reports as bugs, not suggestions.
Our Commitment
PERQS Member, LLC is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to do so.
We treat accessibility as part of building the site rather than a pass at the end: design tokens carry tested color contrast, components ship with their keyboard behavior, and accessibility defects are triaged in the same queue as any other bug.
Conformance Status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. They have three levels: A, AA, and AAA.
PERQS.com is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. “Partially conformant” means that most of the site meets the standard, but some content — described in section 5 — does not yet fully conform.
We have chosen to state partial conformance rather than full conformance because parts of these pages are supplied by third parties whose markup we do not author or control. We would rather be accurate than flattering.
Measures We Take
To make PERQS.com accessible, we have taken the following measures:
- Keyboard access throughout. Every interactive control — navigation, tabs, filters, accordions, the zip-code prompt, and the member sign-up form — can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator on each.
- A skip link on every page so keyboard and screen-reader users can bypass the header navigation and go straight to the main content.
- Semantic structure. Pages use real landmarks (
header, nav, main, footer) and a logical heading order, so assistive technology can navigate by region and by heading. - Text alternatives. Images that carry meaning have descriptive alternative text; images that are purely decorative are explicitly hidden from assistive technology so they do not add noise.
- Labelled forms. Every form field has a programmatically associated label, and validation errors are announced rather than shown by color alone.
- Color contrast. Body text, headings, and interactive controls are tested to ensure they meet minimum color contrast requirements of 4.5:1 for standard text and 3:1 for large text and user interface (UI) components.
- Responsive and zoom-tolerant layouts. Content reflows to 320 pixels (px) and tolerates 200% text zoom without loss of content or functionality.
- Respecting motion preferences for users who have asked their operating system to reduce animation.
Technical Specifications
Accessibility of PERQS.com relies on the following technologies to work with the particular combination of web browser and any assistive technologies or plugins installed on your computer:
- Hypertext markup language (HTML)
- Web accessibility initiative rich internet applications (WAI-ARIA)
- Cascading style sheets (CSS)
- JavaScript
These technologies are relied upon for conformance with the accessibility standards used.
Known Limitations
Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility of PERQS.com, there may be some limitations. Below is a description of known limitations, and potential solutions. Please contact us if you observe an issue not listed below.
- Third-party offer wall. The “More deals for you” unit on the Deals page is rendered by an external partner’s script. We do not author its markup and cannot guarantee its keyboard or screen-reader behavior. We have raised this with the vendor. If you cannot use that unit, the Local Deals and Coupons tabs carry comparable offers in markup we do control.
- Merchant-supplied logos and coupon copy. Coupon listings are supplied by an affiliate network. Merchant logos are given a text alternative from the merchant’s name, but promotional wording occasionally arrives in ALL CAPS, which some screen readers read letter by letter. We are unable to rewrite partner copy.
- Cookie consent banner. The consent banner is provided by a third-party service. Its focus handling is controlled by the vendor and is not something we can modify directly.
- Older PDF documents. Some legacy PDFs linked from this site were produced before our current standards and may not be fully tagged for screen readers. If you need one of these in an accessible format, contact us and we will provide it.
